Banquet Server

Maple Lane Haven Inc. is currently seeking two Banquet Servers to work in the dining room of our event and wedding venue. 

Position Details: 

·  Business address and location of work: 84483 McNaught Line Brussels, ON N0G 1H0

·  Compensation: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour plus bonus and gratuities 

·  Hours of work: 30 to 44 hours per week 

·  Status: full-time, permanent employment 

·  Anticipated start date: as soon as March 1, 2023

·  Language: English 

Responsibilities:

·  Prepare for banquet events including setting out linen, silverware and glassware  

·  Greet guests upon arrival, make recommendations and answer questions

·  Advise on menu selections

·  Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff 

·  Serve food and beverages

·  Perform cleaning duties before and after banquet events

·  Provide excellent customer service 

·  Address guest concerns and gather feedback for improvement 

·  Assist guests with special needs

·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·  Completion of secondary school

·  Previous experience in a food services role is preferred 

·  Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills 

·  Reliable team player 

·  Ability to multitask, remain organized, and take initiative

Bartender

Maple Lane Haven Inc. is currently seeking a Bartender to support the smooth function of the bar area in our event and wedding venue. 

Position Details: 

·  Business address and location of work: 84483 McNaught Line Brussels, ON N0G 1H0

·  Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour plus gratuities 

·  Hours of work: 8 to 16 hours per week 

·  Status: part-time, casual employment 

·  Anticipated start date: as soon as March 1, 2023

·  Language: English 

Responsibilities:

·  Prepare the bar area for banquet events

·  Advise on alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage menu selections

·  Take orders, prepare mixed drinks, and serve beverages

·  Provide excellent customer service 

·  Address guest concerns and gather feedback for improvement 

·  Assist guests with special needs

·  Collect payment from guests for all purchases from the bar 

·  Maintain clean workspace in the bar area and wash glassware 

·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·  Completion of secondary school

·  Previous experience in a food and/or beverage services role

·  Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills with an outgoing personality 

·  Smart Serve certification is required 

·  Reliable team player 

·  Ability to multitask, remain organized, and take initiative
